Zig Zag was established in 2017 in Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the Italian Dolomites, by architect Valentina Bernardi and artist Nicola Zardini. Combining architecture, design, and art, this atelier produces one-of-a-kind pieces in which contemporary sensibility and local traditions coexist. Wood, textiles, and other materials inspired by the region’s folklore are reinterpreted to createtrue works of art for a refined home that favors the unconventional.
They are magnificent furnishings that represent glimpses of Cortina d’Ampezzo off the track. Their peculiarity and exclusivity make the room that welcomes them a fairytale place that makes you fantasize and excite. Their presence immediately creates the singular and avant-garde environment. The material that characterizes them is chalk, white and snow-white, they are enriched with reproductions of pine and larch trees and the insertion of reproductions of skiers makes the scene both realistic and surreal. Admiring them, you immediately have the feeling of being in the magnificent Dolomites intent on traveling incredible off-piste, in the silent and uncontaminated mountain environment.
